The topic for this poster is fairly simple; It is about how water sources like ocean, seas, lakes and rivers are being polluted by the trash and the junk that's thrown into the water. The poster uses typographic visualisation to showcase how there is only junk to find while fishing. It taunts peoples and warns them about how next time they go fishing they will not be able to catch any fish in these waters.

Fishing Junk?

Alphabetic Exploration

One of the main processes that was extremely crutial to this process was the alphabetic exploration of visual letters. I wrote down all the letters from A-Z to try and identify the best way I could play around with these letters. Once I finalised the visual representation of letters, it was time for me to make various drafts of the planned sketch on a digital platform.

Analysis

The main letters used is lowercase 'f' and capital 'J'. I have combined the two letters to make it look like a fishing rod in the water. My favourite part of the poster is the question mark that has been illustrated in the shape of a fish. This is very philosophical. It questions the existence of fish itself. The junk at the bottom on the poster is made by multiple copies of the word 'junk'. Only the water below surrounds itself with the white border. It denotes the limited resource of water and the junk that is polluting this scarce material. This poster consists of only words and letters.
