A magazine cover that spreads awareness about one of the leading issues in South Africa regarding lions. South Africa breeds lions mainly to attract tourism. This according to me is very unethical and immoral. With time, these animals are used to make huge profits through lions walks, hunting and cub petting. These lions are bred in an unnatural way and are kept captive all their lives until it is finally their time to die.

Elemental Balance
I think this was the most challenging poster when it came to ideating a typographic design. Initially there were a lot of elements that seemed a bit too chaotic. Eventually, I found a way to balance these elements out. Down below, you can find my progress with the start of the ideation on paper till the final poster created on Illustrator.
Analysis
The poster is split into half. The left side of the poster that is 'red' visualises Africa after the murder of hundreds of lions. The shade of red used is dark and gory. The issue number on the top right side of the poster is a word play that spells 'breeding' but with the use of numbers and letters. The main part of the typographic poster is located on the bottom left. The 'P' of 'stop' is made into a knife that hints at how Africa eventually kills these lions. The 'I' in 'Lion' is made into a cage and the 'O' into the lion's face. The typeface that has been used here also has sharp edges to denote caution and seek attention to the poster.
