A poster that spreads awareness about the depletion of seafood in 2050 by 90%. In the daily world, we fail to understand the gravity of the availability or resource of fish. In a few years, overfishing and water pollution can lead to the scarcity of fish in the sea. This can be easily avoided if people are made aware of it. The poster visualises the same issue.
2050.
Experimentation
With the topics introduced to us, I had a fair idea of what I wanted to design first. The rough idea was directly explored on a digital platform called 'Canva'. With the initial idea in mind, I used the method of trail and error to choose visual elements that would suit the poster and well integrate the idea in mind. Down below, you will see the progress made from the firstdraft created till the final poster.
Analysis
The main element is the fish in the middle of the poster. The top part of the fish exists in 2023 and the same species of fish in the bottom part in 2050. While the fish above is living and currently alive, the fish in the bottom is turned to a fossil. The full stop and the detailed question marks that are followed by the '2050' is to symbolise the end and the uncertainty of life. The poster also consists of a ' call to action' to urge the reader into introspection and thought about their future actions.
